Do you need to deliver an in-service for your staff? Want a health education program for your clients? We design, deliver and evaluate training that ranges from one-time brown bag talks to intensive, multiple session courses. Recent topics and clients include:

Better for Everyone, a three-day workshop designed for leaders in nursing selected by the Densford International Center for Nursing Leadership, University of Minnesota.

Finding Work in Global Health. Patricia Ohmans has repeatedly been invited to provide a career workshop for would-be global health professionals at annual conferences of the Global Health Council in Washington DC.

buttonHealth in Any Language, a comprehensive, three-year program at Regions Hospital in which Health Advocates helped take the best practices shaped at the hospital’s renowned International Clinic, and disseminate them throughout the institution.

Healing Spirits. Health Advocates works with Twin Cities community organizations to sponsor lecture series and talks on cross-cultural health topics. For instance, for the past five years we have coordinated the “Healing Spirits” series for the St Paul Library system, offering free lectures on topics ranging from cultural differences in end-of-life care to the role of art in healing.
